EXPERIENCE

  • Brendan is serving his second term and second time as Chair of the Parks and Open Space Commission, helping guide the City Council and staff to make intelligent decisions to improve our parks, open space, programming, and resources. 

  • As the head of the PROS Commission, Brendan Moran has demonstrated his leadership by spearheading the Your Parks Your Future Initiative. His efforts have successfully united various city interest groups to agree on the necessity of upgrading the current facilities at Heather Farm Park. 

  • As the Co-Chair of the Yes on Measure O for Walnut Creek Committee, Brendan Moran played a pivotal role in passing the initiative. His efforts have significantly contributed to funding public safety, enhancing our parks and open space, and ensuring the continuity of services for our seniors and youth, thereby strengthening Walnut Creek for the next generation.

  • As Co-President of the Community Arts Foundation, Brendan engages our community to provide funds for scholarships that will allow people of all ages to access art classes at the Center for Community Arts in Walnut Creek.

  • As host of the award-winning show Creek Currents on Walnut Creek TV, Brendan was fortunate to get to know and learn from city leaders, city staff, and our amazing community.

Walnut Creek’s Future

The Morans have lived in Walnut Creek for 15 years, 10 of them in the Larkey Park neighborhood where they are raising their young family.

Brendan and Renee are both small business owners in real estate and children’s arts education respectively and have forged deep connections with other families, business owners and the larger community.
