Meet Brendan

About Brendan

Brendan first arrived in Walnut Creek for a second date with Renee DeWeese back in 2009. Having quickly fallen in love with Walnut Creek (and Renee), he settled down, started a family and a local real estate brokerage. Fast forward 15 years and Brendan is a happily married father of three, small business owner and civic leader.

Brendan teaches his children to approach life with a ‘service-first’ mentality and to lead by example. During his time in Walnut Creek, Brendan has served as a two-term commissioner on the Parks and Open Space Commission for the City of Walnut Creek, incoming Co-President of the Community Arts Foundation, member of the YES on Measure O Committee, School Board President, local sports coach and host of the award winning show Creek Currents on Walnut Creek TV.

Brendan is the owner and head broker of 5 Star Real Estate. He is honored to introduce new people to Walnut Creek and considers himself an ambassador for the city in his real estate duties. Before entering the world of real estate, Brendan honed his communication skills as a successful television producer and host for national networks including Travel and Discovery.

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Brendan graduated from the University of Illinois in 1999 with a degree in broadcast communications. He quickly made his way to California where he has lived for nearly 25 years.

Brendan and Renee have lived in the Larkey Park neighborhood for the past decade, welcoming three children, Keenan (12), Molly Jo (10) and Dominic (7) along the way. Most days, you can find him running in the nearby Acalanes Open Space or walking his dog Scout around her favorite trail in Larkey Park.
