National Night Out 2024

To strengthen the bond between the community and local law enforcement, Walnut Creek residents came together at Broadway Plaza last Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, for National Night Out.

Event Highlights:

• K-9 Unit Demonstrations: Attendees watched Walnut Creek PD's skilled K-9s in action, showcasing their impressive abilities.

• Bomb Team & Drone Operators: Community members learned about the advanced techniques and technology used to keep Walnut Creek safe.

• Motor Unit: Visitors had the chance to check out police motorcycles and interact with the officers who patrol our streets.

• Central County SWAT: The specialized SWAT equipment and tactics were on display, giving insights into how high-risk situations are managed.

• Contra Costa County Fire Station 1: Local firefighters welcomed residents to explore fire trucks and learn about fire safety.
